Sony Ericsson X10 is getting Android 2.3 Gingerbread

Is Sony Ericsson trying to be like Samsung? Updating 2009-2011 Android phones to the latest version of Android.

This really a good news for SE X10 users, you're getting Android 2.3 Gingerbread! Sony Ericsson previously reported that they will no longer provide updates for X10 and other X-series SE Android phones and now we can see a video proving that X10 is getting Gingerbread.

The X10 is one of the first Android phones with 1Ghz CPU 'Snapdragon'. It is one of the fastest smartphone with 8MP pixel camera too. Personally I thought this phone is bound to the graveyard but with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update a new life is given to this nice phone.

Sony Ericsson's Facebook inside Xperia functionality is also added to the upgrade like to those of 2011 SE Droid phones e.g Arc, Play, Neo.

If this update is due this quarter surely X10 in the phone shelf will be sold like pancakes!

Nvidia Tegra3 "Kal-El" - demo

Nvidia is unstoppable in SoC technology, the upcoming Nvidia Tegra3 "Kal-El" features 12-Core GeForce GPU and 5x faster than the current Tegra 2 - a dual core mobile processor. There are already rumors that Kal-El powered devices are already in manufacturing stage like Motorola's latest tablet.

“Given that dual-core processors are already on market, you might be wondering how Project Kal-El’s quad-core technology will improve the mobile experience. Rather than try to explain it, we’ve put together a hands-on demo to give you a sneak peek at the new capabilities coming to superphones and tablets later this year”, NVIDIA said. We’ve got video of the demo posted below...
