Panasonic will layoff 40,000 workers globally

After Nokia's plan of cutting off jobs, another company is planning to reduce its global workforce. Panasonic will reduce its workforce, of around 40,000 workers making up 10.52% of Panasonic's total 380,000 global employees due to reconstruction effort, according to Nikkei. The most affected are those outside Japan.

I hope Panasonic have plans for those 40,000 that will lose their jobs. This is has nothing to do with the recent Japan Earthquake. I hope that Panasonic Philippines will not severely affected buy this lay-off especially this hard times.
